Description

Are you a runner looking to improve strength, reduce injury risk, and become more powerful and efficient? Coach Aaron and his team at Performance Running Gym will be your guide to a 4 phase running-specific strength training program designed to be done in conjunction with winter training at Run Minnesota to help you run your best and crush your PRs.

Our goal for this program is to help participants add a run-specific strength component to their program to help reduce injury risk, improve running mechanics, and improve overall performance outcomes for program participants.

The program will be delivered to athletes via the same Final Surge platform as your run program with Run Minnesota. It can also be delivered via PDF with links to all of the video demonstrations. There are two levels to choose from, beginner and intermediate/advanced, based on your experience level. The workout plans come complete with a guide, videos, and detailed exercise descriptions. Minimal equipment is needed (mini-loop resistance bands) and could be done at home or in the gym.

Workouts will be done in four major phases:

Phase 1: focused muscular balance and stabilization

Phase 2&3: focused on building run-specific strength

Phase 4: focused on maintaining strength and keeping you injury-free in the peak of your training leading up to race day
